Privacy policy

FWT Publishing AB is the data controller for the processing of your personal data on Gourmet (gourmet.se). In other words, we determine why and how your data is processed.

Data we collect and why

• Account (email, password in encrypted form) – to create and sign in to your account. Legal basis: contract.
• Name and course data (application, progress, exam results, certificate) – to deliver the courses and issue certificates. Legal basis: contract.
• Gourmet Club (name, email, postal code) – for the newsletter and offers. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Saved posts – to show your favourites. Legal basis: contract.
• Technical data (IP address, device information, logs) – for security and to prevent abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• Reading statistics – we count views per article and day without linking them to you.
• Customer contact – messages you send to us, so we can answer them. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Who we share data with

• Service providers (data processors) for operations, storage and email.
• Stripe, which handles payments, VAT and receipts. Stripe processes payment data according to its own privacy policy.
• Professional advisers, e.g. auditors and lawyers.
• Authorities when the law requires it.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. In that case we ensure protection through the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.

Storage

Account details and course data are kept for as long as you have an account. Club data is kept until you cancel your membership. Accounting records are kept for the period required by law. After that the data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to request access to, rectification of and erasure of your data, to restrict or object to processing, to receive your data (data portability) and to withdraw consent. We respond within one month. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption, access control and access restrictions.

Cookies

We only use necessary storage in your browser for sign-in and features such as counting an article view once per visit. We do not use marketing or tracking cookies. You can clear the storage in your browser settings.
